What clients ask first
It can be, when the surgeon is properly qualified and licensed and the procedure is performed in a licensed hospital with anaesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care capability. That is precisely what MediGlow verifies on your behalf — and why we decline to work with clinics that cannot evidence it. No surgery anywhere is risk-free, and any provider who tells you otherwise should be treated with caution.
Typically seven to fourteen nights, depending on the procedure. Your surgeon sets the minimum hospital admission, the earliest safe transfer to your hotel, the required post-operative review dates and the fit-to-fly criteria. We build your itinerary around those clinical requirements — not the other way around.
Your quotation itemises medical services, implants or devices, hospital charges, concierge services, accommodation, transportation, optional extras and — importantly — exclusions and possible additional costs. You sign your medical consent and treatment agreement directly with the hospital or licensed medical provider.
You receive a written complications and emergency protocol before you travel. It names the 24-hour contact, the receiving hospital, who arranges emergency transport, who makes clinical decisions, which complication-related care is included in your surgical fee, and how your records are transferred to a doctor at home if an issue arises after you return.
Usually not. Standard travel insurance commonly excludes elective cosmetic surgery and any complication arising from planned treatment. We will tell you plainly where cover does and does not exist, help you explore specialist complication cover where a suitable product is available, and never allow you to assume you are insured when you are not.
