Questions & Answers
Straight answers, including to the questions that are uncomfortable for us. If something you need is not here, ask us directly.
Safety and suitability
It can be, when the surgeon is properly qualified and licensed and the operation is performed in a licensed hospital with anaesthesia, resuscitation, blood access and intensive care capability. That is exactly what we verify and document before placing any client, and why we decline to work with facilities that cannot evidence it. No surgery anywhere is risk-free, and any provider who suggests otherwise should be treated with caution.
Your surgeon, and no one else. They review your medical history and photographs, consult with you, order tests, and assess you in person before proceeding. They may postpone or cancel at any stage — including after you have arrived — if they consider surgery unsafe. Surgery is never guaranteed before the final medical assessment is complete, and we will not promise you an outcome the surgeon has not yet approved.
Yes, and we do. If your expectations are unrealistic, your health makes surgery unwise, the procedure would be better performed at home, or you seem to be deciding under pressure, we will tell you plainly and decline the booking. It costs us a client and saves you considerably more.
We encourage it, and for some procedures your surgeon may require it. Companion rooms are easily arranged at every package level. If you are travelling alone for a larger procedure, we will recommend the Private programme or a serviced residence with nursing support rather than a conventional hotel.
Cost and payment
Your written quotation separates medical services, implants or devices, hospital charges, concierge services, accommodation, transportation, optional extras, and exclusions with possible additional costs. Flights, visas, personal expenses and elective aesthetic revision are not included. If a cost could plausibly arise, it appears in your quotation before you commit.
US dollars give clients across four regions a common reference point when deciding whether to begin. Your actual quotation and settlement are denominated in Vietnamese dong, so the equivalent in your own currency will move with the exchange rate. We state the dong amount and the indicative conversion side by side so there is no ambiguity.
The medical portion is invoiced by the hospital or licensed medical provider, with whom you sign your consent and treatment agreement directly. The concierge portion is invoiced by MediGlow. Where we collect payment on a provider's behalf, that arrangement is documented and approved by the parties in advance, and the two portions remain separately identified in your quotation and records.
Your agreement sets out the booking deposit, final payment deadline, refund processing period and the terms for cancellation by you, cancellation by the surgeon, postponement due to illness, and the case where you are found medically unsuitable. Hotel and flight terms are stated separately because they are set by those providers.
Recovery and aftercare
Typically seven to fourteen nights. Your surgeon specifies the minimum hospital admission, the earliest safe transfer to your hotel, the minimum days you should remain in the country, the required review dates and the fit-to-fly criteria. We build your itinerary around those clinical requirements rather than around your flight preferences.
Where it is clinically indicated, yes. The nurse holds appropriate qualifications and authorisation, works to an agreed clinical protocol, records observations and reports anything abnormal to your surgeon. A nurse will never independently change your treatment — that decision belongs to your surgeon.
You receive a written complications and emergency protocol before you travel. It names the 24-hour contact and number, the receiving hospital, who arranges emergency transport, who makes the clinical decisions, who pays any initial admission deposit, which complication-related care is included in your surgical fee, and how the situation is handled if it arises after you return home.
It also distinguishes clearly between a complication requiring medical care and an elective aesthetic revision, because the two are treated very differently in every surgical agreement.
A written summary of your procedure, medication and recovery instructions, plus scheduled virtual follow-ups with your surgeon. If you would prefer an in-person review, we can arrange a follow-up consultation with a partner clinic in your city. Your medical records are held by the hospital and can be released to your own doctor on request.
Insurance and risk
Usually not. Standard travel insurance commonly excludes elective cosmetic surgery and any complication arising from planned treatment. Never assume you are covered. We will tell you plainly where cover exists and where it does not, and help you explore specialist complication cover where a suitable product is available. If no suitable product exists for your case, we will say so in writing rather than let you travel with a false sense of protection.
We require current professional liability insurance from every surgeon and current professional and public liability insurance from every hospital, and we confirm whether those policies extend to international patients, which procedures are covered, the coverage limits and the exclusions. We will share what applies to your case.
No, and neither should anyone else. All surgery carries risk and individual results vary with anatomy, healing and how closely post-operative instructions are followed. What we guarantee is the standard of the partners we select, the accuracy of the information we give you, and the quality of the coordination around you.
Privacy and practicalities
Completely. Consultations are private, your information is held securely and shared only with the medical team treating you, and no image, name or testimonial of yours is ever published without your documented written consent. We can arrange discreet billing descriptors and structure your travel so your privacy is preserved.
No. Your coordinator is bilingual and attends every appointment with you. Interpretation is available for your consultations, and the hospitals we work with have English-speaking clinical staff and an international patient department.
Yes. Female coordinators, halal meal arrangements, prayer-friendly accommodation and family rooms are all arranged on request for our Middle East clients and for anyone else who would prefer them. Please tell us at enquiry stage so we build it into your plan from the start.
We advise on both and can coordinate flight bookings on request, but flights and visa fees are not included in your package. We will not confirm flights until your surgery date is secured and your surgeon has confirmed the length of stay required.
Send us a confidential enquiry describing what you are considering. You will receive honest information, an indicative cost range and a clear explanation of the next step. Nothing is committed, and nothing is charged, until you have a written quotation you are happy with.
