Home/Your Journey
Your Journey
Eight stages, each planned before it happens. You will always know what comes next, who is responsible for it, and what is expected of you.
-
Confidential enquiry
You tell us what you are considering — in your own words, with no medical vocabulary required. We reply with honest information: what is realistic, what is not, what the process involves and roughly what it costs. There is no pressure and no obligation, and we will tell you if we think you should not proceed.
-
Medical screening
We collect your medical history and photographs using a structured form approved by the surgeon, covering previous surgery, medication, allergies, smoking, BMI and any relevant conditions. Accuracy here protects you — this is the information on which your surgeon's assessment depends.
-
Virtual consultation with your surgeon
A video consultation with the surgeon who would operate, with interpretation if you prefer. You discuss what is achievable, the technique proposed, the risks, the alternatives and the recovery period. You will receive a provisional plan — and a frank answer if you are not a suitable candidate.
-
Itemised quotation and written plan
A written quotation separating medical services, implants or devices, hospital charges, concierge services, accommodation, transport, optional extras and exclusions. Alongside it you receive your draft itinerary, your recovery plan and the written complications and emergency protocol.
-
Booking and preparation
Your surgery date, hospital, accommodation and transfers are confirmed. We advise on flights, visa requirements and what to pack, and give you a pre-operative checklist — medication to pause, fasting instructions and any tests to complete before you travel.
-
Arrival, assessment and surgery
You are met at the airport and taken to your accommodation. Your coordinator accompanies you to the in-person assessment and pre-operative tests. The surgeon confirms — or reconsiders — your suitability. Only then does surgery proceed, at the licensed hospital named in your plan.
-
Recovery in Vietnam
After discharge you move to your hotel or recovery residence at the time your surgeon considers safe. Your coordinator checks in daily, arranges nurse visits where clinically indicated, collects medication, manages meals and takes you to every post-operative review. Before you fly, your surgeon carries out the fit-to-fly assessment.
-
Aftercare at home
You return with a written summary of your procedure, your medication and your recovery instructions, plus scheduled virtual follow-ups with your surgeon. If you would prefer to be seen in person, we can arrange a follow-up consultation with a partner clinic in your city. Your medical records can be released to your own doctor on request.
Before you fly
What we give you in writing
Nobody should travel for surgery holding only a price and a date. Every MediGlow client receives the following documents before departure.
Your itemised quotation
Every line separated, every exclusion stated, the currency and payment terms confirmed.
Your day-by-day itinerary
Arrival, assessment, surgery, discharge, each review appointment and your fit-to-fly date.
The complications protocol
Who is on call 24 hours, which number to ring, which hospital receives you, who decides, what is covered, and what happens once you are home.
Your named contacts
Your surgeon, your in-country coordinator, your client manager at home, and the emergency line.
Who does what
Clear lines of responsibility
Confusion about responsibility is where medical travel goes wrong. Ours is written down.

Where nurse visits are provided at your hotel, the nurse works to an agreed clinical protocol, records observations, reports anything abnormal to your surgeon, and does not independently change your treatment.

Nothing is committed at this stage. You are simply finding out whether this is right for you.
